Keeping a constant pace

Keeping a constant pace

Well when I was watching the Olympics last year, I who have been an athlete in my own right in many sports saw things accomplished by some amazing young people. They had put their lives on hold to constantly day after day practice their sport no matter how hard the task or the injuries they got, they put themselves to the test and were now participating in something that they worked for all their young lives to get a once in a lifetime opportunity to be in but also to make their mark. Now there are only three spots that are rewarded on that day gold, silver, and bronze now there are no consolation prizes for not placing in the top three and most people will not even remember your name and the books will have you maybe in it but it was not about you, you did not place!

Is there a prize for second place? Or is there only two places you do or you did not? Well I am afraid that the answer is simple and complicated but it is going to take a lot of what we need more of. God has no second place but we humans don’t know who and should not have the condemnation on us if we are living the life of Christ (for purpose of understanding we will call it living the Christian life). I have walked a life that was with the understanding that there was no forgiveness in God but more over no forgiveness in man and had a wrong concept of love. I did not believe that it could ever be a time that one could be dismissed from the burdens of their past. The wrong that you did someone saw and they were going to remind you of it, over and over again.

Now with that as the theme for life we all have no future because we would be bombarded with the past all out life and hope just would not ever exist. But there was a moment that I sat with God and found that I am set free from those things that man will hold over your head and constantly remind you of all your skeletons that you are hiding away in the closet. The truth is no more! We do more damage to ourselves and out future when we do this to ourselves, so stop now (it is a lie from the Devil himself) it is an act of none forgiveness when we keep this over our head or even when we let the world speak that into our life and we sit and believe such things. If you know Christ like I do or even better, then you know that forgiveness is the air that a Christian should breathe in and exhale. Once we have taken the Job of being a Christian we don’t have a choice but to do the work of a Christian, as God said to do, we are now under the orders of the High command God Himself, through Jesus Christ His son. So like any Good soldier we practice day by day our art to perfect it and that when it becomes time each day we have to use this art; without second guessing ourselves it is now second nature to us because it is in our heart and that is what we live everyday.

There is an everyday test, and we go through over and over till we get it right, we should be ever so vigilant on the fact that keeping ourselves in a state of readiness so that self condemnation does not make us weak and vulnerable, it is the most liberating thing that we can do for ourselves and for others as to set them free from that which they are already forgiven. The thing is to remember at all times; we are not perfect and should pray for our own flesh to come in line at all times and when we see others out of line doing the same thing having self-condemnation, pray for them as well as for yourself. The magical thing is that if we do this everyday for others, I mean always look out for those who are not doing as well as we and be always willing to sacrifice ourselves and what we have for others God will give you one of those three medals Gold, Silver, or Bronze and the ultimate reward is heaven and there are no other places. So we do what it takes or not and the choice is yours heaven or hell. The fact is that your sins are already forgiven and you now need to accept Christ and then walk the walk, or stay as you are and see what happens (life with God and Jesus Christ or stay in filth and die eternally in the lake of fire) I rather the eternal life, I just hate to get burnt for a long time. I wrote a poem that talks about forgiveness and letting go the past and embracing the future that God has for all of us I hope you like it.

No Condemnation !!!!!
yesterday has been forgiven

Yesterday

They say that yesterday is in the past, but somehow yesterday last and last.

Will I ever have my hopes and dreams?
It’s depressing not seeing these things.

I wish and wish my life away,
I am haunted with thoughts of yesterday.

Renew your mind the Bible says,
For what and why, I criticize!

Because of yesterday I have no hope,
Because of yesterday life is no joke.

Yesterday! This is the past,
But why do we make the memories of it last and last!

It is nice to know what the future hold, of moments bright, more precious than gold,

So I delight my time well spent, on my knees in God’s presence.

Now that I am ever so bold, in Jesus’ arms I will never grow cold,
I have God in my life, and he is in control, yesterday’s story will no longer be told

I seek my fortune there in God’s righteous fold!
