Sky

Sky

I lift my head up high
And gaze into the sky

Looking all around me
This is what I see

Clouds go passing by
My thoughts ask where do they come from and why

Oh where did you come from?
Your beauty! The sun does magnify

Your creator must be awesome
Please tell me where do you come from?

Now sun!
I’ve seen you bring the morning
When my eyes you set on fire
And the birds began to sing

Making dewdrops seemed like diamonds
And the sky turns to crimson
Just before the night

Please give me just one answer
And try to be polite

It just makes my heart just wander
Did you even know that the moon
Comes out at night?

The stars are like an army
They patrol the dark night sky
God position them perfectly and
He made their sparkling smile

I have seen lots of God’s creation
And marvel at their beauty
Each time they catch my eye

But none I’ve seen as pretty
As the heavenly Sky

This is the inspiration for this poem.

The sky is the hardest to figure out, and nothing in this world that can make you feel closer to God than that. The things of this world get better as we know whom God is and having faith in Him and seeing all the things God can do. God opened up my eyes and just for me each day He has the sky display the heavens in a harmony not to be repeated twice. The sky is the largest canvas that I know and it is the most masterful fragment of God’s handy work. Please invest in the sky by thanking God for it and the beauty that unfolds inside your heart when it strikes you. God gives it to us and we pass it by because we don’t look up at Him enough. That is what I think of when I see the sky and it sees me.
